Cheers to a new year!

Cheers to a new year!

0

I wish you all a fabulous 2018. I hope all your dreams (well, some at least) will come true.

At least one of my dreams has come true: last Thursday we bought a house! It’s not our dream home yet, it needs a lot of work, but the space and the potential are there.

I still feel a little overwhelmed, and with all the festivities of the past few days, it felt like my days were just too short and it was hard to focus on work, but I did manage to get some things done. Here’s an update:

A Winter’s Tale – re-release at Oscraps

‘A Winter’s Tale’ is a digital scrapbooking collection inspired by the story of The Snow Queen (my favourite fairytale!). The magic of a landscape beneath a white blanket, the light of a thousand diamonds when the sun touches the snow, frosty leaves and ice cold air, all that beauty of a winter’s day is captured in ‘A Winter’s Tale’. A colour scheme of blues, whites, greys, pinks and a few silvery accents, a paper made from real reindeer skin, snowflakes that look like they were made of real snow (except they do not melt on your pages), frosted flowers and leaves, gorgeous vintage stamps (some of them come from a 1922’s book of The Snow Queen, with the original Edmund Dulac illustrations), paint, a set of wintery transfers… the perfect collection for all your wintery outdoor pictures!

Here’s some inspiration from the creative team and from my personal photo book:

Scenic Papers Vol.2 ‘A Snowy Day’ – Re-release at Oscraps

It’s a wonderful combination, bare trees and sunlight on a snowy winter day… The light in the trees looks like fairy lights! These papers were created from pictures that I took on a snowy day. Mix and match these papers in your digital scrapbooking, art journaling, card making and paper craft projects. Print and frame them and use as winter decor – I added a printable letter size version of the papers. Or use them as overlays, play with blend modes and opacities for surprising results!

Creative team  member Jana combined these papers with A Winter’s Tale, and I love the result:

Winter Wonderland Party Pack – New at Scrap Girls and in my Etsy shop
Coming soon at Oscraps

The ‘Winter Wonderland’ party pack is filled with nostalgic and naive images of children having fun in the snow, delicate patterns, snowflakes and a touch of glitter. The editable party invitation, treat bag toppers and party banner, cute tickets and cupcake toppers, DIY washi tape and fun gift bows are good for hours of DIY fun. Whether you are organizing a baby shower, a birthday party for your kids, or just a cozy winter gathering, these party decorations will make it just perfect!

This banner was designed to coordinate with the ‘Winter Wonderland’ party pack. It comes in a pink and a blue version. All letters and numbers are included, so you can make your own banner.

These gift bows are super easy to assemble, I’ve included instructions in the ZIP files.

Fun circular labels, that you can use as cupcake toppers, or gift labels, or as items in your digital projects.

Use these letter size papers as gift wrapping paper for small gifts, or for cards and other paper projects. Or, use them in your scrapbooking projects. They are letter size, which means that you can easily print these!

This party invitation has a front and a back, and both are layered, so you can customize the text; information about the fonts used is included in the ZIP files.

These cute printable tickets can be added to the party invitation when you invite your guests, to organize a raffle at the party. Or, use them to add a fun detail to any paper or digital project you are working on!

Make your own washi tape with these ready-to-print paper strips! I found this tutorial at The Graphics Fairy https://thegraphicsfairy.com/how-to-make-your-own-washi-tape-diy/  but there are many more if you google a bit. The strips come in 4 common washi tape sizes (width 0.3 in, 0.6 in, 0.9 in and 1.18 in). I’ve added separate JPG files too, so you can use the strips in your digital scrapbooking projects.

Available here: Etsy | Scrap Girls

Don’t let your guests go home after the party without offering them something to remember the wonderful time spent together. These charming treat bag toppers will look great on your treat bags, filled with (homemade) cookies or sweets!

And here’s a sneak peek for Friday – if you recognize a thing or two, then you are right. This is my part of an old collab called ‘365 New Chances’ that I’ve redesigned and updated with new embellishments and papers…

Have a great day,

Anja
