My grandparents on my mother’s side were farmers. They lived in a simple rural house, with stables, a barn, an orchard, a flower and vegetable garden. They had cows, two horses, chickens and lots of cats. When I was a child, there was no place I’d rather be. I loved the simple life, the meadows and fields, the great outdoors, the peace and quiet and some of my best childhood memories go back to that time.
