Winter Solstice Junk Journal Kit
‘The Wheel of the Year’ is an annual cycle of seasonal festivals, observed by many modern Pagans, consisting of the year’s chief solar events (solstices and equinoxes) and the midpoints between them. While ‘Samhain’ marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter or the “darker half” of the year, at Yule, or ‘Winter Solstice’ we reach the depth of that darkness with the longest night of the year. Yule celebrates winter, the returning of the light and nature’s renewal. It’s a time of new beginnings, the wheel of the year has made a complete circle. The Winter Solstice is the turning point in the natural cycle of the year, the darkest night in all the year is followed by a day that will dawn just a little earlier.
This junk journal kit uses the same color scheme as the one used in the ‘Wheel Of The Year / Yule’ collection and is jampacked with beautiful and colorful page spreads, alternatives and backgrounds and a large variety of embellishments and Christmas themed ephemera. Perfect for your junk journals, cards, albums or (paper) scrapbook pages, to document your Christmas memories and so much more. This kit was designed to make a 5.5 x 8.5 junk journal. I’ve included most of the embellishments as PNG files, so you can use them in your digital projects, or to design your own journal pages to print.
You will receive 39 printable 8.5 x 11 in sheets in JPG and PDF, designed to make a 5.5 x 8.5 journal. Included are:
