Autumn Breeze Printable Kit

0

We are having another hot summer week here in Belgium, but with August almost over, I’m longing for autumn to arrive! Autumn is definitely the coziest time of year, with cool, crisp morning breezes and warm sunny afternoons. ‘Autumn Breeze’ was created with muted shades of apricot, periwinkle, rosewood, aubergine, peanut, cloud and ash grey, beautiful papers along with an array of embellishments such as handdrawn leaves, paint, vintage ephemera and some labels with the cutest fox you’ve ever seen and you can now purchase a printable version of it!

This printable version of the ‘Autumn Breeze’ digital scrapbooking collection includes:
- 9 solid papers 8.5 x 11 in (9 JPG files);
- 9 patterned and artsy papers 8.5 x 11 in (9 JPG files);
- 9 sheets with embellishments 8.5 x 11 in (9 JPG files).
Perfect for hybrid scrappers, paper crafters and junk journalers, with printable letter size papers and embellishment sheets. No Photoshop or any other graphic software needed. The embellishments were made up as ‘stickers’ with a white edging and a thin dark gray line, to easily cut around flowers, foliage, illustrations, stamps and more. All files are 300 DPI.

Autumn Breeze Printable Collection is 50% off through August 30 (along with everything else in my Etsy shop!).

Trees in France

0

I found these gorgeous antique tree cards on a flea market. They seem to be part of an educational game, with images of woodland trees and more details on the back. These would be so perfect for your botanical junk journals, or to create embellishments and papers in scrapbook kits that you sell. Each card comes as a separate PNG file, but I’ve also included printable sheets for your hybrid projects.

Buy these in my Etsy shop at 50% off (thru August 30).

And I have this coordinating freebie for you! Simply click on the image below to download:

Medieval love

0

After creating A Song Of Kings And Queens (inspired by Game Of Thrones and medieval times) and after creating A Tale Of Knights And Ladies, I have really come to love the medieval feel. Even more so because of our latest trip to France. We went to Normandy and we visited Le Mont-Saint-Michel, the second most visited place in France. It’s a small island in the ocean, accessible from the main land through a bridge and it has a small town and an amazing old monument that was once a church, then an abbey and later even a prison. There is only one narrow alley in the small village that leads up to the abbey, and it reminded me of Diagon Alley from Harry Potter. Let me show you some pictures:

The museum shop had so many gorgeous gifts and gadgets and many of those were medieval themed. We ended up buying a beautiful compass in a cute leather box. Everything was rather expensive…

Le Mont-Saint-Michel is not the only place we visited, we also went to Omaha Beach and the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer, and we saw the famous Bayeux tapestry. The tapestry is 70 m long and depicts the Norman conquest of England by William, duke of Normandy, and Harold, Earl of Wessex, later King of England, and culminating in the Battle of Hastings. The Bayeux museum shop was just as tempting! Embroidered cushions, medieval themed toys, gargoyle keyhangers, renaissance journals… I left with an embroidered purse that depicts one of the scenes from the tapestry, but I could have bought the entire shop.

What’s so funny is that we have seen the TV show ‘Vikings’ and in that story, Rollo is one of the main characters. Rollo is the brother of Ragnar Lothbrok and Rollo married a French princess and that was in Normandy where later he became king. ‘King Rollo’ was mentioned in the audio guide that told us the story of the tapestry, and William, duke of Normandy, was related to King Rollo. So you see, watching ‘Vikings’ is good for your knowledge of history LOL.

Have a great day,

Anja

A Tale Of Knights And Ladies

0

I couldn’t resist making a junk journal kit from my latest release, A Song Of Kings And Queens, and the result is: A Tale Of Knights And Ladies. Inspired by lords and ladies, magic and mystery, knights in shining armour, fairy tales and dragons, this medieval themed romantic junk journal kit uses shabby textures, vintage imagery and Pre-Raphaelite art with loads of writing space. It has quite a few alternative pages and backgrounds and a large variety of embellishments, so can fully customize your journal. It was also inspired by the popular TV show ‘Game Of Thrones’, but I’ve left out any specific references to it. This kit was designed to make a 5.5 x 8.5 junk journal. As a bonus, I’ve included most of the embellishments as PNG files, so you can use them in your digital projects, or to design your own journal pages to print.

A Tale Of Knights And Ladies is 25% off through August 11th.
