New Commercial Use: A Touch Of Paint Vol08

0

Because you can never have enough paint in your kits or projects… 😉

I’ve added a pack with 20 paint brushes to my commercial use stores. They were handmade by me, using different paper textures and paints, then scanned, edited, cleaned up and turned into brushes. You will receive 20 PNG files and 2 ABR files. The brushes are quite large, up to 2487 px in height!

Use these in your personal layouts and projects, or use them for the creation of artsy embellishments for your kits.

Doodled Stitches & Watercolour Textures

0

More than 10 years ago I bought a sewing machine. I thought it would be nice to learn how to work with it, but until this day I have never used it. I just couldn’t figure out how it works and to be honest, I wasn’t ambitious enough to actually learn it… A pity really, I can knit, I can crochet, but I cannot sew.

I’ve always been jealous of designers who could sew their own stitches, because I LOVE stitches and thread on a layout. I have always asked myself how I could have my own … learn to work with the sewing machine after all? Ask someone to make stitches for me (I have two aunts who can sew really well)? But then I would have to extract the stitches in Photoshop … that would require a lot of patience and a lot of time…

And then it hit me, what if I could just draw my own stitches? And so over the weekend I took a 0,5 mm pen and I started doodling… stitches! It took some time to get them just right, but I was blown away by the result. They looked so real! Turning them into a Photoshop brush was easy peasy… and here’s the result:

Take a look at this detailed preview:

Don’t they look amazingly real?

These messy stitches will help you add detail and dimension to any layout or art journal page, they are the perfect finishing touch. You will receive 12 doodled messy stitches, in PNG format, in a shadowed and a non shadowed version. I’ve also added a set of brushes (maximum size 2500 px).

Doodled Stitches Vol01 are discounted for a week and available in all my stores.

My second release for this week is this set of 9 hi res papers, created from watercolour textures that I made myself. They were scanned at 600 dpi and edited for maximum quality. You will receive 9 papers 12×12 inch, but I’ve also included 9 letter size papers for easy printing. They will make great backgrounds in your digital scrapbooking, art journaling and papercraft projects!

Whimsical Inspiration

And here’s some inspiration from my creative team, using Doodled Stitches Vol01 and Watercolour Textures Vol02:

This page from Eszter is truly a work of art - this would be perfect for wall art! Eszter used Watercolour Textures Vol02, Doodled Stitches Vol01 and then a few other packs of mine: Castles & Princesses, Dreaming Of Christmas and A Stroke of Luck (purchase links at the end of this post).

A romantic page from Rae, who is new to the team. She combined Watercolour Textures Vol02 and Doodled Stitches Vol01 with My One True Love (purchase links at the end of this post). A soft and delicate page!

Francine is also new to the team. She used one of the templates of Whimsical Templates Vol03 to create this layout, as well as a few things from Ex Libris and Wonderland (purchase links at the end of this post). I love how she has used the watercolour textures here!

Carina is new as well. She combined the Watercolour Textures Vol02 and the Doodled Stitches Vol01 with My One True Love (purchase links at the end of this post). The colours work so well together.

This page by Cynthia (another new girl) uses one of the Whimsical Templates Vol03 and Wanderlust in this layout, as well as Watercolour Textures Vol02 and Doodled Stitches Vol01 (purchase links at the end of this post). I’m loving all the blending here!

A page by new girl Andrea. She used Ex Libris (purchase links at the end of this post) to combine with the textures and the stitches and I love the combination with the poppy, the tab and the butterfly.

Barbara used Whimsical Templates Vol02 and A Stroke Of Luck to create this page (purchase links at the end of this post). Again, here, I think all the elements work so well with the watercolour texture she picked. It shows you how versatile the papers are!

And finally, a page by me. I’ve combined one of the Watercolour Textures and the Doodled Stitches Vol01 with a frame of Hippie Spirit, a flower and a doiley from Wonderland, sequins from A Stroke Of Luck (recoloured) and a jewel from Vintage Findings Vol01. The ‘Beauty’ quote from my Edgar Allan Poe Quotes pack was perfect for this page. Purchase links at the end of this post!

Commercial Use Grab Bag Gala

0

If you were ever looking for some deals, then now is DEFINITELY the time - it’s Commercial Use Grab Bag Gala at Digital Scrapbooking Studio! From July 22 thru 28 you can grab yourself some amazing never before released commercial use products, for just $1 per pack.

I am offering you no less than 9 brand new commercial use packs - 6 packs in a grab bag of my own, and 3 more packs in a paint themed grab bag that I’m sharing with The Urban Fairy. Let’s get down to the details!

Included in this grab bag are:

Included in this pack are 9 nautical themed charms in their original colours. The size of the PNG’s is the actual size - the smallest charm is 0.37 x 0.473 in (0,94 x 1,2 cm) and the largest charm is 0.663 x 1.18 in (1,68 x 3 cm). You will receive 9 PNG files, including: 1 crab, 5 fishes, 1 seahorse, 1 shell, 1 starfish and 1 turtle.

This set contains 12 gorgeous buttons in shiny, pearly, creamy or metallic tones.

This pack contains 5 dried wildflowers and 1 dried leaf, gathered during my latest vacation in France, in their original colours and actual size. You will receive 6 PNG files, including: 2 dried poppies, 1 dried camomille, 2 dried blue cornflowers and 1 leaf.

This pack contains 10 travel/outdoors themed elements. You will receive 10 PNG files, including: 1 bird charm, 1 Eiffeltower charm, 1 vintage Paris postcard, front and back, 1 vintage London postcard, front and back, 1 vintage stamp, 1 wildflower, 1 wooden mini road sign, 1 floral shaped button.

Included in this pack are 6 vintage maps. Each map comes in two sizes: in a 12×12 inch version and in a 8,5×11 inch version (you will receive 12 JPGs in total). They were scanned from an old geography school book (dated 1938).

Here are 6 watercolour overlays, digitized and edited for maximum quality! Use these to make your own realistic looking painted papers. Play with blend modes and opacities for surprising results.

These 6 packs have a total value of $32.94 and you can grab them all for just $6!

Next to my own grab bag, I’m also sharing a grab bag with The Urban Fairy. We both love paint and so we created a Paint Effect grab bag for you:

Here are my three packs:

This set contains 20 rounds that were hand crafted by me using a wine cork and black acrylic paint, hence the great organic texture! The size of the PNG’s is the actual size - an average of 295 x 295 px. The brushes are nearly twice as large so you have more flexibility (the rounds were scanned at 600 dpi). You will receive 20 PNG files and 1 ABR file.

This set contains 15 grungy circles that were hand crafted by me using a circular cardboard form and black acrylic paint. The size of the PNG’s is the actual size - an average of 1050 x 1050 px. The brushes are nearly twice as large so you have more flexibility (the circles were scanned at 600 dpi). You will receive 15 PNG files and 1 ABR file.

This set contains 15 drips and splatters that were hand crafted by me using black acrylic paint. The average size of these splatters is 2485 px. You will receive 15 PNG files and 1 ABR file.

Both Grab Bags are exclusive to The Studio from July 22-28. After that, all my packs will be separately available in my other shops and they will go back to their normal pricing. Don’t miss this deal!

This incredible deal is perfect if you are not a designer, or have no need for commercial use packs. Grab the deal and use the packs for your personal use projects, to liven up your digital scrapbooking or art journaling layouts.

Spring Fever!

1

A huge collab, four times a year, one colour scheme… That is generally the idea of the Coordinated Collections formula at Digital Scrapbooking Studio.

Today is reveal day for the Coordinated Collection for Spring 2016, ‘Rainbow Bright’! All the packs are on sale for just $1, for two weeks. Bundles are for sale for the price of the number of packs, so a bundle with 6 packs (like mine) is just $6 (unbelievable, isn’t it?). You really have to go check it out, the contributions of the Studio Designers are seriously amazing. I already have a few things on my wishlist!

I’m joining the party for the first time since I came to The Studio. ‘Rainbow Bright’ didn’t seem like a fitting title for my packs, because I focused on the ‘Spring’ theme, therefore I have named my packs ‘Spring Fever’.

Let me show you what I have created:

Remember, you can grab all these packs at just $1 each, for two weeks! And the Spring Fever Collection is available for just $6.

Layout inspiration

You will surely be inspired by the amazing pages from my wonderful creative team :

Ange has combined the Spring Fever Collection with one of my Whimsical Templates Vol.02 and I absolutely love the effect of the blended papers! Ange has used a few extras from my My One True Love Collection (the butterfly and some paint).

Another gorgeous page by Ange, using only the Spring Fever Collection.

A gorgeous white space layout from Guest Creative Team member Barbara. I love the strip of patterned paper on top and the cute cluster in the bottom right corner. Barbara has combined the Spring Fever Collection with a few bits and pieces from my Castles & Princesses Collection.

A gorgeous page by the lovely Em! Em has also used my Stitched Shapes Vol.01 and some goodies from my Fly Me To The Moon Collection. I especially love how well the silver leaf from Fly Me To The Moon works with the rest of the page and the stitched rectangle behind the picture adds an interesting detail, without being too prominently present.

Creative Team member Erin created this splash of spring fever by using one of my Whimsical Templates Vol.02 and combining it with the Spring Fever Collection. I love all the blending and there is so much to look at. That picture is amazing too and it is perfect for this page.

A beautiful ‘out of the box thinking’ composition by Creative Team member Eszter! So much to look at in this page, she has also used a vintage bird ephemera from the Easter Morning Elements.

Jen Maddocks is a fellow designer at The Studio and she is a dear friend to me. I have been a member of her Creative Team for years and when she has a moment to spare, she makes an amazing page with my stuff. I totally love this very creative page of her using my Spring Fever Collection. I especially love the effect on the word ‘Rainbow’ and the rainbow picture in her page is truly mesmerizing. I also love how she has created a ‘flower border’ at the bottom of the page. I think she has used all of five Spring Fever Transfers here.

A gorgeous page from Creative Team member Judith. She has used one of my Whimsical Templates Vol.02 and a flower and a brad from my Castles & Princesses Kit. I love the watercolour effect she has created on her pictures!

Sometimes my Creative Team members are spoiling me with more than one page LOL, like Judith (and Ange, at the top of this post). This wonderful page by Judith uses the Spring Fever Collection with one of the Stitched Shapes Vol.01 and a button from Wonderland. Again, what a lovely effect on her picture. It works so well with the papers that she has chosen.

Ona has recently retired and she told me that she loves working in the garden. I’m not sure if this is her house or garden, but I would LOVE to have this kind of front garden. I love the pops of red and orange in this layout! Next to the Spring Fever Collection she has also used one of my Whimsical Templates Vol. 02, a leaf from My One True Love and a flower from my Among The Shadows kit.

And here’s a page from me, using the Spring Fever Fantasy Papers, Spring Fever Solid Papers, Spring Fever Transfers, Spring Fever Splatters and Spring Fever Word Art. I also used one of my Whimsical Templates Vol.01 (twisted and altered):

Remember, these packs will be available for just $1 each, at Digital Scrapbooking Studio only, for two weeks. By the end of April they will go back to their normal prices and I will add them to my other shops.

Next to my contribution to the Studios Rainbow Bright Coordinated Collection, I also have two new packs, that are available in all my shops. Read all about it in this post.

Whimsical templates and a touch of paint!

0

Sometimes life get in the way of the things you really want to do. When it comes to preserving your memories, that can be quite frustrating. So many pictures, not enough time. These whimsical templates will speed up your workflow and will help you preserve your memories with ease and style. Clip your photos to the clipping masks, recolour the paint layers (or clip a beautiful paper to them), add some embellishments (or not), done!

These templates can be used in so many ways. Remove the frames and use the paint layers as clipping masks for a very artsy layout, remove the paint and use only the frames for a more clean layout… Play with blend modes and opacities for surprising results… Create your own unique layouts over and over again!

You can now grab these templates at 30% off in my shop at Digital Scrapbooking Studio and in my shop at The Digichick.

If you love the effect and texture of paint on your pages, but cannot make your own (yes, it can get messy!), then the next pack is a pack that you will love and use over and over again. Add an instant touch of paint to your digital scrapbooking or art journaling pages with this gorgeous crafted pack of paint. The paint strokes were created by me, using various materials like ink, watercolour and acrylic paint. They were then scanned and edited at the highest quality.

Grab this pack now and save 30% in my shop at Digital Scrapbooking Studio and in my shop at The Digichick.

For Commercial and Personal Use.

Save 30% if you grab it now in my shop at Digital Scrapbooking Studio and in my shop at The Digichick.

These packs are also available in my Etsy shop.
