Magical Junk Journals

0

Creative Team Heidi McGregor used the ‘Be A Unicorn’ Junk Journal Kit and word art from the ‘Find Your Inner Sparkle’ collection to create not one, but three junk journals for her nieces. She combined my designs with some other ephemera and a paper scrapbook kit. The result is amazing! Heidi has a wonderful talent for layering things, it’s actually a bit like we do in digital scrapbooking, but Heidi does it with paper bits, lace, fabric, buttons and stitches. I would love to see the look on Heidi’s nieces when they receive their journals 🙂

Watch the video below:

You can follow Heidi on Youtube here.

‘Frozen’ Junk Journal by Sheila

0

Sheila May is new to the team and I met her in one of the Junk Journal Facebook groups that I am following. I noticed that Sheila used some items from The Graphics Fairy Membership site that I designed. I visited her Youtube channel and saw all the gorgeous journals she has made so far. So I decided to contact her and to ask her to join the team. She said yes, en this is her first project for me:

Sheila used one of my favorite collections: A Winter’s Tale.

You can grab the bundle in my Etsy shop, in my shop at Oscraps, or in my shop at Scrap Girls.

There is also a kit version of this collection, and of course all packs are separately available. I haven’t got a printable version of the kit yet, but it’s on my to do list.

Here are more pictures from Sheila’s journal:

Sheila used mainly A Winter’s Tale for these journals, along with some other things she found, and things that she made herself. She made a ‘grown up’ version and a version for a little girl, using images of the Frozen characters. I absolutely love what she did here. I hope you do too, and I hope it will inspire you!

I cannot wait to see what Sheila will come up with next, she has a wonderful idea for a more father’s themed junk journal, with Father’s Day coming up.

Speaking of Father’s Day, I’ve made a section in my Ety shop with a selection of items that might work well for a Father’s Day themed project, because of the theme, or because of the color… All these items (71) are on sale and 40% off thru June 7th!

Have a great day,

Anja

Amazing new hybrid project from Scrap Queen!

0

Creative Team Member Scrap Queen used my kits Spring Fever and Ex Libris to create this amazing new hybrid project. Fill these books with photos and make it a gift for someone dear, as a birthday gift, or as a last minute gift for Father’s Day perhaps? Or, use these books if you have only a small amount of photos of a special family gathering or party, or any other event.

Here is part 1 of how she made this:

This is part 2 of the step-by-step video:

This is part 3:

Create an awesome hybrid project for Mother’s Day with Scrap Queen

0

Hi everyone!

This week I am re-releasing a huge set of printables that I created for Mother’s Day. Just in time so you can prepare your gifts or whatever you plan to give to your mother, grandmother, daughter or friend.

On Mother’s Day moms do not always want expensive presents. A very personal gift, made with love, will be so much more appreciated. The whole ‘Happy Mother’s Day Printables’ collection was designed around Mother’s Day, but many of the tags and the journal cards can be used for other occasions as well: to surprise your daughter on her birthday, to thank a friend or a relative, a neighbour… You will enjoy these printables even after Mother’s Day is long gone.

The Mother’s Day Printables collection includes a romantic vintage roses card with matching envelope, a set of coordinating tags, round or rectangle shape, and a pack of journal cards where you can add your personal messages… these will make for the perfect Mother’s Day gift. You can use the tags on homemade gifts, print out the journal cards on heavy cardstock and make a little booklet (keep the cards together with a metal ring)… and they all come in three different colour schemes: purple, red and yellow.

Happy Mother’s Day Printables Purple Bundle

Save if you buy all the purple packs; this bundle includes all the purple printables: card and envelope, gift tags, round labels and journal cards.

Introducing my newest creative team member Scrap Queen

A few months ago a customer sent me a link to an amazing video tutorial for a hybrid project, where my Alice In Wonderland Papers were used in a gorgeous mini-album. Watch the video here. I got in touch with Scrap Queen and I asked her if she would be willing to do more hybrid projects for me, using my designs. She said yes and I was thrilled! I was really missing someone like her in my team, someone who uses my designs beyond digital scrapbooking.

Scrap Queen has her first hybrid project ready for me, accompanied by a step-by-step tutorial for a ‘loaded envelope’ and she uses the red Happy Mother’s Day printables. It’s truly amazing, I’m not a paper crafter, and I could never imagine making something as awesome as this. I am going to stop talking now and let you watch the video for yourself - enjoy!

Here are some photos she made:

I have a second new hybrid girl in my team, who will use my designs to create mostly project life hybrid layouts. I’ll introduce her later, when she finishes her first project!

And as a reminder, don’t forget that you have only two days left to purchase The Sweetest Spring Bundle - 55 spring themed packs with a discount of 85% - in my Etsy shop.

That’s it for me this week, have a great day!

How does your garden grow?

0

Hi everyone, I can hardly believe that February is almost over but with March on our doorsteps, spring is also on its way. And that’s the time when people start planning their garden chores. I don’t have that green thumb, my husband does. But I love our garden and I love to see it grow and flourish. To help you document those garden adventures (and all sorts of other nature and outdoors themed memories) and help you with your garden planning, I am re-releasing ‘Things To Do In The Garden’ at Sweet Shoppe, along with my printable Garden Planner, Seed Packets Vol01 and Seed Packets Vol02.

Things to do in the garden is a whimsical digital scrapbooking collection with fantastic vintage and artsy patterns and mixed media designs that will make you wish you had a garden, whether you like gardening or not. The papers and elements are a delightful mix of vintage, realistic, mixed media and handdrawn illustrations. Colours are ranging from brown, clay and blue over fresh green, peach and golden yellow. The textures are rich and distressed and you will surely love all the stamps, the floral illustrations, the scribbles, the transfers and the word art.

Let’s take a look!

Re-releasing Wonderland

In 1865 a story was published about a whimsical world full of fantastical characters, and about a girl named Alice, who followed a white rabbit and accidently got into Wonderland. Today, almost two centuries later, this story is still very much alive. The “Wonderland” Collection, inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, is jampacked with whimsical, romantic and artsy elements and papers. The colours are warm and vibrant with beautiful greens, blues, and pinks, and with touches of gold, in a perfect mix of bold and faded, realistic and artsy, vintage and contemporary.

I created Wonderland exactly a year ago… I didn’t know but when I was making the new previews for Sweet Shoppe I noticed the creation date. I also felt like the elements kit could use a few extras, so I added 12 elements (mostly flowers and foliage) and 3 alphas to the kit. If you bought the Wonderland kit before February 13th, in my Etsy shop or in any other store that it was available, then you can now ‘upgrade’ by grabbing the add-on pack I made for you.

Let’s take a look at the previews and very important: the freebie that you will receive when you purchase the bundle, but first, watch this awesome video from Jana where she takes you on a walkthrough through the collection. She is also sharing a few tips to use the transfers and the masks. Simply click on the image to discover Wonderland.

Wonderland Bundle

If you buy this:

You will get this for FREE:

More so, the bundle is extra discounted this weekend for the new release sale at Sweet Shoppe. So you’ll be making a great deal by grabbing it now ànd you will receive the Artsy Papers for free.

Wonderland Bundle is available only at Sweet Shoppe here. It’s 55% off thru Monday 6 am EST (that is Monday 12 am Brussels time).

Wonderland Kit

12 gorgeous gold patterns, 9 textured solids with a touch of gold, 3 alphas and 70 elements… that is what you get when you purchase the revamped version of the Wonderland kit. It’s 25% off through Monday 6 am EST. Grab the Wonderland Kit here.

Wonderland Add-ons

If you purchased the Wonderland Kit before February 11th, then you will be able to upgrade to the revamped version by grabbing this add-on pack; click on the image to buy:

Wonderland Charms

Don’t you just love these? In an old bronze colour, entirely inspired by the story of Alice In Wonderland: the card symbols, a teapot, a clock, the white rabbit, a key, and an adorable mushroom. They will look so cute on your pages!

Available here: Etsy | Sweet Shoppe Designs

Wonderland Journal Cards

You will receive 8 PNG files (5 cards 3×4 inch and 3 cards 4×6 inch), available in both orientations, so 16 cards in total. I’ve also provided sheets in JPG and PDF for easy printing.

Available here: Etsy | Sweet Shoppe Designs

Wonderland Photo Masks

Handpainted, scanned, edited and then delicately enriched with parts and elements from the ‘Wonderland’ collection. Use them as clipping masks for your photos or for papers, or recolour them and use them as backdrops on your pages. Play with the blend modes for surprising results!

Available here: Etsy | Sweet Shoppe Designs

Wonderland Transfers

These transfers were created from handpainted strokes and collaged vintage ephemera and they will definitely be the finishing touch to your digital scrapbooking pages, art journaling layouts, cards or any other project that you are working on. You will receive 9 large PNG files.

Available here: Etsy | Sweet Shoppe Designs
